Raga Sanjaya's Brother

3 main characters in my upcoming one shot comic

 

This is my old work from post Come and Die, I done some tweaks and change in this draw for my portfolio. I make it more darken tone to express dark and bad of the raider.

 

Sekar dewi is one from four Raga Sanjaya Bodyguard, she’s good in stealth skill. She have a good speed in fighting. Gun and long parang (machete) are the most frequently used weapons beside kudi.

 

He is will be the one of my main character in my comic “Dwipantara”. He is some kind of Anti Hero person, Cold blooded killer, unmerciful, but smart. He mastered many of Pencak Silat style (Nusantara martial arts) when he was 21, he also mastered many “jurus kanuragan“ like Kidang Kancana, Mahesa Kroda, Aji bala Srewu, Brajamusti, etc.

 

Weapon of choose:

- Cakar Elang

- Kerambit

- Rencong

- Keris

 

I drew this sketch while im doin' brainstorming for my comic that take a place/setting in nusantara world, what i can say this is just a rought skecth from rought concept, it's far from final character i guess. This comic is all about nusantara (indonesia) and focus of the story is silat martial art. But for now the story is far from finish, maybe it will done in 6 mouth, 1 years, or perhaps more

 

Now i realize i have been accurst yesterday,i could tell it all because i often use "arrow to the knee" jokes, i've been damned. This work is actually almost done, then i took an arrow to the knee T_T. I spend my day to drawing this "art nouveou" style illustration, then suddenly after i restart my PC the file was broken or corrupted.

Damn, the other reason why was this happened maybe because i change the face of the girl with Trolling face. But arrow to the knee joke and trolling face is really fit for sure.

 

I don't quite likes the final touch of this piece, but here it is, it’s done. Maybe next time will be better..

This is my practice for creating character concept, it begin from traditional sketch, and finalize by digital. i don't know what name to give, maybe "red witch hunter" fit her.

 

Separate From Evil
this is character from my previous post on  Mask man

 

I never did coloring with this technique before, so this is the first time i used this technique. The order of coloring from this technique you should draw it with monochrome tone, and then using new layer style to colorize it with Hue/Saturation. You may added new layer above with blend mode Multiply for more dynamic looks.

This technique usually used by most of concept art artist.

Still Steal little time from my busyness time of my Final Semester Test and task. i don’t know what should i puts for it background, so i head for solid color.

 

Here’s some of my sketch for my college Task. I developed comic character for kids, to make them interested in reading. The story is about “PUB” the main character. He is poor kid, but he have a big passion for school. Someday when he visit old library in his city, he found a forbidden book, the book is contain a jinn, (a good and bad jinn), they both are sealed in the book for hundred years. The good jinn is seal himself and his enemy in these book, to prevent evil broke and change the story of the tales. and how it goes when the seal is release, wait for the comic just in this blog.

I've done this piece last year, when my little brother ask me to make picture for his class t-shirt which represent about his class, such fun guy, happiness, not serious, joke. When i hear world about “serious”. i suddenly think about joker, but joker face to scary for middle high school kid, and then i replace joker face with Mr. Smile. And yeah, here we go, the result goes like this. :D
